REMIX CONTEST - We have a winner!

We had a whole bunch of fantastic submissions for our ‘Le Rondo Des Sirènes’ remix contest and choosing was tough. Some fine bedroom producers put together a really diverse range of remixes, from hip hop to tech-house to moombah and everything in between, and the influx of creativity was truly inspiring. But choose we must, and the winner is Harry Lawless!

Harry is a young producer from Adelaide, Australia, and his remix of ‘Le Rondo Des Sirènes’, while it was musically very different, stayed true to the theme of the original. Harry strips back the eclectic sonic palette of ‘Le Rondo Des Sirènes’ to create something spare, haunting and beautiful. Syncopated percussion, deep kicks, claps that seem to fade into the sea-mist, and economical use of the cinematic synth line that permeates the original: the result is a twilit, evocative soundscape. A huge thanks to all who entered.

The stems will remain available for download (click here), so you can continue to make remixes of ‘Le Rondo Des Sirènes’ and share them via our Facebook page. ‘Le Rondo Des Sirènes’ will be available for pay-as-you-like / free download on the 30th of July and will include remixes by CloZee, Stereo Silence, Madeaux, The Calm Project, Vapor Maché and How Green, as well as Harry Lawless’s winning remix.
